DAY 213 WEDNESDAY OCTOBER 24 IMPATIENCE

Waiting, waiting. . . 6am and still no action. Anchor down, two ships in front of ours.  Such a tiny port is Suva and yet long delay.  The captain says we should head in at 4pm.  It took all day to load one of the ships ahead. At 6pm we raised anchor and the pilot guided us into dock. It is 7pm and probably too late for us to go ashore.  We do not get a call from the captain and it looks as though the wharfies are going to be on the job all night.  Predicted departure is now 2-3am. No reception on the Kindle so quite frustrated. We had a list of things to do in Suva. They will have to wait till Auckland.
