DAY 31 WEDNESDAY APRIL 25 ANZAC DAY

The Manet was loaded up and unmoored by 4:30am and heading out across
the Caribbean Sea. We needed to catch up on some sleep during the day
but we did not miss any meals.  Our regular entertainers (the flying fish)
were active on this side of the canal as well. We talked about Anzac Day
with the NZ couple at lunchtime and they said interest among young people
was very high there. We wondered whether Aidan was taking part in a
ceremony. Another jigsaw was started and we were back in our routine.
After dinner Alin the engineman stopped at our door and offered to take us
to see "his world" so we took a short cut through a door on deck C which led
to the upper part of the chimney.  He showed us the Economiser which used
heat from the chimney to boil water for the motor. Alin insisted we should tell
everyone that the company had recently halved the engine staff to survive
the GFC.
