DAY 73 WEDNESDAY JUNE 6 GOODBYE YORK

We got up early and finished packing while Cathy tried to put our movie on youtube.  It takes hours so we will have to wait until we have unlimited internet time. We felt quite sad saying goodbye to Cathy and John , knowing we would not see them till the wedding in April.  As we walked to the station we said goodbye to York
possibly for ever.  Had a nice trip on the 7.55 to Manchester Piccadilly where we caught the 9.50 to Chester after getting conflicting directions. This train was terminating at Llandudno so we were now travelling through Wales. We had reserved seats
on the 11.22 all stations to Holyhead but the station staff suggested we catch the 11.16 Virgin express from London.  This train was the best one we have ever been on and first class was nearly empty. The scenery along the Welsh coast to Anglesea was spectacular. We have been discarding luggage at every opportunity and posted some things
home at Holyhead.  We got a 30% discount with our Eurail pass on the Irish Ferries "Ulysses" which took us very comfortably to Dublin.  The bus ride into town was less so but we found Hazelwood House without much trouble. Nice little room for 35 euros.

THE TRAIN LINE HERE RUNS NEXT TO THE SEA
